In-Line Robotics
The ability to perform certain tasks from within a pipeline, like cutting, grinding and reinstating existing service connections, are critical to any tenchless technology. PMM has the capability to provide these services with our in-line robotics package. This system allows us to perform multiple task using a robotic device in pipelines ranging from 6" to 24" in diameter.
We utilize our robotics in two sepertae applications. The first being a part of our surface preparation process. If we run into excessive build ups, sharp welding slag, steel leak pins or existing service taps that have left burs on the pipe's surface we must cut & grind these protrusions down prior to our CIP lining process.
The second instance where our robotics package is invaluable is the reinstatement of existing services connection that have been lined over as part of our CIP rehabilitation process. The service or lateral connections are simply tapped open using the robotic cutting unit to reestablish gas flow. This is important as it eliminates the necessity to excavate each individual service thus making our trenchless rehab truly a NO DIG technology.
