PipeBlast 20RL

Pipeline cleaning and surface preparation is a critical component of the Starline processs. To meet and avance this important task, PPM has designed and developed the PipeBlast 20RL, an advanced mechanical pipeline cleaning system. This proprietary (patents pending) unit includes a reel driven abrasive-blast cleaning process that is trailer mounted for easy mobility and transportation.

Although versatile for any grit-blasting application, the PipeBlast 20RL provides an effective and efficient cleaning system that prepares the pipe surface to an optimal level for proper bonding of our adhesives. The design and operation of the unit allows us to clean a pipeline in less time and with lower manpower requirements than other technologies, thus reducing total job costs for our Clients.

The agressive cleaning power of the system easily blasts away rust, mill scale, oils, tar and most surface build ups found in gas pipelines. Using one of our GUZZLER ACE industrial vacuums, the grit is recovered from the line during the cleaning process thus eliminating the need for excessive pigging, flushing or air purging. A typical 500 foot section of gas main can be cleaned in less than 4 hours with our PipeBlast 20RL.
